JOB PURPOSE

  • To assist and support in the day to day workload as directed by the Catalogue Manager.
  • The Content Executive is primarily responsible for digital retail’s content writing.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Execute the content schedule/plan decided by Catalogue Manager.
  • Create various types of copy that makes Al Futtaim’s website appear as an online authority in fashion. This includes new brand launches, or promotion related information, how-to sections etc…). The position will require regular interactions with the online merchandisers and the Online Trading Manager in charge of updating the online catalogue.
  • Write content in line with a brand’s tone of voice and market segments; creating a user-friendly experience for the reader.
  • Write marketing text for individual products and editorials within agreed Service Level Agreements service levels for all brands and for the all markets. Ensure that all copy that goes live meets quality and SEO guidelines.
  • When required, produce or update content such as FAQs, Product Descriptions, About Us, Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Help Pages, Projects Articles, News Letters, etc…).
  • Responsible for receiving information from category and merchandising teams on stock, priorities and new products.
  • Responsible for ensuring that products are available to go live as soon as stock is available.
  • Prioritise workload and keep Catalogue Manager and team members advised of any issues/roadblocks.
  • Work closely with the SEO Manager to produce quality content that will not only appear in search engines, but drive traffic to the site, and convert into sales.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor's degree, or certification, in English, communications, journalism, marketing or a related field.
  • Must be able to quickly assess issues and react to changing circumstances and new information.
  • Microsoft Word.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, including prioritizing and multi-tasking while paying close attention to detail.
  • Has worked and coordinated directly with the Ecommerce business units.

          Minimum Experience:

  • At least 12 months experience as content writer preferably within an eCommerce organization.

           Job-Specific Skills:

  • Excellent English skills (speaking, writing and reading)
  • Strong skills required in use of computers MS Office is a must.
  • Strong copywriting skills gained in a web environment; high standard of written English
  • Strong copywriting skills in a web environment, with a high standard of English and understanding of SEO guidelines
  • Fast and accurate proof-reader
  • Detail oriented – good eye for inaccuracies and inconsistencies
  • Good grasp of consumer marketing issues
  • Able to work to deadlines and under pressure without compromising on accuracy
  • Have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to succeed in a multi-cultural environment.
  • High level of initiative, problem solving and decision-making ability.
  • Target oriented and drive to exceed demanding challenges.
