Who we look for

In your role as a Curriculum Segment Head for the Math Management Unit, you will be responsible for managing the curriculum for Junior College Math guided by the Unit Head.

 

Job responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing the curriculum for Junior College Math, guided by the Unit Head.
  • Lead developer for JC1 and JC2 H2 Math.
  • Develop SOWs and plan weekly lessons and online learning modules.
  • Write weekly lesson materials and online learning modules.
  • Source, edit and modify appropriate quality materials to be included in the lesson.
  • Prepare weekly teacher’s reference copy and student’s copy.
  • Respond to feedback and queries from all staff regarding the curriculum.
  • Manage the quality of the Junior College curriculum through appropriate review and evaluation processes.
  • Review curriculum to ensure (re)-alignment with MOE and national syllabus.
  • Review the scheme of work planned by the curriculum specialist for the respective level.
  • Provide professional input and corrective feedback on curriculum materials to ensure alignment with TLL Framework and house style.
  • Review and vet curriculum to increase support to teachers, to implement better ways of dealing with differentiated instruction.
  • Conduct curriculum and education-related meetings, presentations and workshops for team members, teachers or colleagues at TLL.
  • Take on cross-curriculum unit functional roles in heading curriculum-related communication or task forces (Learning Management System, library, marketing etc.).
  • Responsible for appraisal of team members in this segment.
  • Responsible for meeting desired KPIs and timelines.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

 

Snapshots of our ideal candidate

  • Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree holder in Mathematics, Mathematical Sciences or Applied Mathematics.
  • A specialist in curriculum development for Junior College students.
  • Has experience in MOE, or possesses a good understanding of the MOE and or international school curriculum.
  • Able to commit to working 4 weekdays and 1 weekend (either Saturday or Sunday).
  • Meticulous, with a flair for designing educational materials.
  • Proven track record of academic and extracurricular excellence.
  • Team player, with effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexible and able to manage change and ambiguity well.
  • Able to innovate and improve processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
